The Back Story: 

Top Photo: Twenty Eight year old 1958 Lebanon Valley high point champion Jimmy Markle helps his case of being crowned the LV champ by stroking his #47 into victory lane that year.

Markle, who recently passed away at the age of 80 on April 11th, 2010, is flocked by Lebanon Valley Speedway founder “Uncle” Lou Spanier and LV head flagger for many years, Teddy Ryan. (click here to see Jimmy's Obituary)
