The Back Story:

Top Photo: 1990, and the always fun to attend Racerama car show at the Big E in West Springfield to kick off the racing season and see the new equipment for the eagerly anticipated new racing season.  Eddie Marshall, as part of his ADAP sponsorship deal, is in attendance at the show in the Lebanon Valley section.  Eddie parlayed the ADAP deal into taking a shot at what every racer dreams of, the major leagues, and tried his hand at running the then Busch North Series.  The division was ferociously tough, on even the regulars, as qualifying for the events was a big undertaking.  Eddie stuck it out for a while, but came back home to his familiar turf, the High Banks of LV where he continues to win regularly and threaten for the Modified point title each year with his consistent runs.

Second Photo: Back in a time when they had too many cars at Syracuse, and they had to park them on the cinder track.  Good times.

Third: I was thinking Jeff Van Steenburg, since you know, it was his car and all, but hold the phone!  Eddie Marshall was a guaranteed starter for the BM&F, and a deal must have struck between the two to run the #27 in the 20 lap race.

*Eddie didn’t fare too bad,  He started in 15th and finished in 12th of 32 starters.

*Thanks John Gallant for the information.
