I had remembered some big hoopla surrounding Bobby Carville going into the modifieds ranks with a prestigious karting background on his resume, and by the lettering on the back panel of the #78, it states it all.

“1980 World Karting Association” and I’m assuming champion.  He really hailed more out of the Fonda Speedway area, and never had much success at LV.  Not sure of his other track adventures, or if He was in some way related to the Ice Cream Carville’s?.
