The Back Story:

After a Memorial Day 1995 tornado swept through Great Barrington Ma, and much of southern western MA, I had the opportunity to go up in a small plane and view the devastation (which was quite sticking from the air) with a pilot buddy of mine.  Since the speedway was only a stones throw as far as the crow flies from then tornado alley, we took an aerial tour of Howie’s playground, and I was able to snap off these unique pictures.  Despite coming in to Pittsfield airport “a little hot”, our mother ship landed safely, and I’m alive and well to share these pictures.
